Here's what Woods had to say about the course and its design, along with what the other professionals had to say following the event:

Tiger Woods

"This is the experience we want to have — whether it's kids or guys like Jack and Gary for them to come out here. I've been lucky enough to have been a part of this in different ways and in different matches. It was so much fun to be able to swing freely.

"I think all of us have been blown away with the fact that the golf course was this playable. We were very fortunate for everything to come together like this. Johnny had the foresight to build all of this and I was lucky enough to design something like this."

Was there one hole on the course that you designed as a risk-reward decision?

"I think of the fourth hole right away. This entire golf course and the fact that we were able to have the movement that we had to play down and back up and the experience we had coming off 19, that's what it's all about. I just want to have people who enjoy coming out here and enjoy golf and nature."

What were the inspirations for the water features?

"The water features are already here and we obviously expanded them to have that movement and flow. The whole idea is to be a part of nature and to have the sound and the visuals of being out there and being away from your phone and hear the streams and the breeze in the trees. Hopefully, everyone got the chance to experience that."

Can you talk about the width and what that would mean for recreational players that are here for public access golf?

"My philosophy is to try to have movement and have flow and not lose a golf ball. That's the whole idea — keep everyone moving and use the ground and be able to bounce a golf ball up. This golf course is so new that obviously, the run-offs will get firmer faster. Just to have the ability to play with your kids and have grandparents all play.

"The whole idea is to keep the ball moving and keep it on the ground and hopefully, everyone gets a chance to experience it."

Rory McIlroy

"Tiger and I had a conversation and one of the inspirations for his design-philosophy was Sandbelt in Australia and the white bunkers splashed up — sort of what Alister Mackenzie likes to do with that Augusta look.

"I love the aesthetic of it. I think Tiger and his team have done a great job."

Justin Rose

"I think it was very playable. I love some of the design features on some of the Par 3's — big slopes from the right-hand side. I noticed that when walking down shoulder-to-shoulder and said 'this is cool' and he said 'you know, everyone slices it.'

"He obviously had a vision for not only how we should play this golf course but for how everyone else, in reality, plays this course. I thought that was cool."

Justin Thomas

"There's not much I can add. A lot more goes into it than the three of us know. It's not just that you want the tee here and you want a Par 4 and for it to go 450 yards and it takes care of itself.

"Espcecially on land like this, you have to have an unbelievable imagination and I feel like I have a good imagination but I wouldn't have come remotely close to anything here.

"It's very playable and it's also fun for us. Although the fairways are big, after playing it, you can see that one side is usually better than the other — we're still going to have to have that thought-process on the tee."
