When the Baltimore Ravens host the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night, it’s expected to be the best game of the week and perhaps the entire season. There are plenty of reasons to believe that’ll happen with two star quarterbacks and consistently great franchises clashing under the bright lights of M&T Bank Stadium.

But while this is a great matchup, not everyone here at Ravens Wire believes it’ll be terribly close. Where so many pundits around the league have it being a close game that comes down to the final seconds, several of the writers here are going pretty far out on a branch in their final score predictions, giving Baltimore a double-digit margin of victory.

Scroll down to see what crazy Ravens final score predictions we have this week and how we all see this game going down.

Matthew Stevens:

Ravens 35 – Chiefs 24

The last time these teams met, it came down to a final drive and a five-point difference in the final score. Had a few balls bounced a different way, Baltimore could have just as easily won that game. But keep in mind that Jimmy Smith was out of that game and it was before the Ravens added Marcus Peters, Calais Campbell, Derek Wolfe, and Patrick Queen.

Kansas City hasn’t done a ton to change its team from last season — rightfully so considering the Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl champions. But considering the game was so close last time and all the upgrades Baltimore has made since then, there’s plenty of reasons to believe the Ravens come out ahead.

Baltimore gets a few more stops than they did at this time last year and the offense clicks just a little more for an extra touchdown of its own to change the score into my prediction.

Neil Dutton:

Ravens 30 – Chiefs 24

It’ll be a back-and-forth barnstormer between two of the best offenses in the NFL. But ultimately the Ravens will make just enough plays on defense to slow down Patrick Mahomes and give Lamar Jackson his first victory in a rivalry set to dominate the NFL for the next decade.

Alex Bente:

Ravens 31 – Chiefs 26

This Ravens defense has yet to take on the likes of Patrick Mahomes, and vice versa. Look for Baltimore to frustrate Kansas City’s offense early, while controlling the clock and scoreboard from the first snap. They won’t be able to hold off Mahomes and company the entire game, but the Ravens should have enough ability to thwart that patented comeback attempt. The final score will be close, but the Ravens have seemingly reached a new level this season, enough for Lamar Jackson to finally earn a win over the team that could be his biggest challenge for years to come.

James Trefry:

Ravens 41 – Chiefs 27

I think the game starts off as a back-and-forth contest with the teams trading touchdowns in the first two quarters and ending the first half tied at 14-each.

The second half will be all about Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. I see a 250-yard half from him, where he throws another two or three touchdown passes. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will answer with big-play touchdowns of his own, but a couple stops by Baltimore’s defense will be the difference in the outcome.

Vasilios Nikolaou:

Ravens 49 – Chiefs 35

The Ravens go ballistic tonight. In four regular-season prime-time games, Lamar Jackson has 12 touchdowns, 0interceptions, and a 120.7 passer rating. Jackson will be a huge factor and he will have to continue with the improved passing game we’ve seen in recent weeks. The defense will be heavily relied upon to stop Mahomes but like all other matchups, you can’t stop Mahomes, you can only slow him down, which the Ravens do well enough to keep them 14 points down as the Ravens win 49-35.

Kevin Oestreicher:

Ravens 38 – Chiefs 35

After losing in back-to-back years against the Chiefs, Baltimore is hungry to get a win against Patrick Mahomes. Their two losses were by a combined eight points, so they’ve been right there. The defense is much improved, the offense is still deadly, and Baltimore will come on top in a high scoring and electric game.
