The Association of Canadian Travel Agents (ACTA) on Sunday announced that it was launching a new travel advisor training course “designed by the Canadian Travel Industry for the Canadian Travel Industry.”
The course, called Travel Agent Essentials, is targeted at those with less than two years of experience, ACTA president Wendy Paradis said. It’s also exclusively online and covers travel agency operations, air travel, ground transportation, cruising, land accommodations, and packages.
“Travel Agent Essentials is an entry-level training course that has been in development for many months, prior to the COVID-19 crisis. We know that the industry will bounce back and that even more consumers will be looking to take advantage of the benefits that a professional travel agent offers,” Paradis said.
ACTA is offering the course for $995, but is offering $100 for ACTA members. Travel Agents Essentials is offered at the same time that ACT is offering its own CTC and CTM designation programs.
