The Portland Thorns will face the Washington Spirit at 7 p.m. PDT Sunday at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah, for each team’s third game of the NWSL Challenge Cup.
The game will air on CBS All Access in the U.S. and Canada, as well as an international stream that will air on Twitch. Mike Watts will be on play-by-play, Lori Lindsey on color commentary and Marisa Pilla will be the sideline reporter. CBS All Access has a seven day free trial period, but will charge $5.99 a month after.
The Thorns drew against the Chicago Red Stars on Wednesday. Portland had 16 shots to the five of Chicago, but none found the net. The Thorns are 0-1-1 so far in the Challenge Cup. However, Portland is one of five teams yet to win in the Challenge Cup. Only the Utah Royals, North Carolina Courage and Washington have won games thus far.
Washington is 1-1-0 thus far in the Challenge Cup, beating Chicago but falling to North Carolina.
