The nightcap of Saturday's NWSL Challenge Cup action saw Houston Dash put together a dominant performance, especially in the attack, to secure a 2-0 shutout win over OL Reign. Houston was able to address its previous defensive woes after allowing three goals in the opener to Utah.
Kristie Mewis and Shea Groom each found the back of the net to lead the way. Groom also notched a sweet back-heel assist to Mewis for the opening goal of the match, which proved to be the winner.
