The Mandalorian Music Video Combines Entire Score With Gorgeous Visuals - Screen Rant

The brand new music video for The Mandalorian combines the show’s entire score with gorgeous visuals. The first live-action Star Wars TV show, The Mandalorian, has become an almost unparalleled success for Disney+. Many elements have gone into Jon Favreau’s space western show doing so well, such as the story revolving around brand-new characters like The Mandalorian and the incredibly popular The Child (or Baby Yoda). In addition to the story and characters, the show has created revolutionary technology dubbed “the Volume” and yet another classic Star Wars score, created by Ludwig Göransson, that beautifully captures the genre mix of space and western.

The official Star Wars YouTube channel recently released a music video for The Mandalorian’s signature theme that shows composer Göransson playing all the instruments that likely went into putting the score together. But in addition to showing Göransson at work, there’s beautiful shots of the composer playing instruments while footage from the show plays in the background. He is then transported into various noticeable locations from The Mandalorian, showing off the show's groundbreaking virtual production. Most noticeably, it shows the stunning VFX at the end when Göransson is seen sitting on the rock in the desert before the camera slowly pulls away.

It’s a wonderful video and a fitting one to accompany the score, as it not only shows signature props like Mando’s mask, but also shows the visuals that were created by the show’s tech. Season 2 of The Mandalorian will be coming to Disney+ this October, and this video is a good way to fill the void fans have without the show. However, it’s also an excellent promotional tool to get fans excited for the new season, which will see Mando and The Child continue to try and avoid falling into the clutches of Moff Gideon. Of course, the story will be accompanied by Göransson’s score, who will also be returning to work on season 2 of The Mandalorian.
