The Mississippi State baseball team opens its three-game series today against the Oregon State Beavers in Starkville.
The Bulldogs (3-0), ranked No. 10 in the D1baseball.com Top 25, started the season with a sweep of Wright State. The Beavers (2-2) split their first four games against four different opponents in the Sanderson Ford College Baseball Classic.

David Dunlavey comes in to pitch for Sims. The Bulldogs get out of the top half thanks to two Oregon State groundouts and catching McMahan stealing second base. He reached base after successfully bunting earlier in the inning.

During an at-bat against Foscue, Christian Chamberlain's career-high day for the Beaver ends as Reid Sebby steps up on the mound for him. Chamberlain threw 90 pitches. Sims walked Foscue before striking out the next two Bulldogs.
