EVANSVILLE, Ind. — High Score Saloon has announced a second arcade location on the West Side, but this one will offer a key difference.
Owners say High Score Player Two: Classic Arcade will be a kid-friendly, all-ages arcade opening this spring, according to a post by the business on Facebook.
The existing location downtown is adults-only. It serves beer and wine and offers games like pinball, video games and tabletop games like Dungeon & Dragons.
High Score Saloon has been successful with the adult crowd, cultivating an atmosphere they describe as a "separate world for adults to escape back to their childhood without the tethers of responsibility." But, in the Facebook post, the owners described receiving regular calls inquiring if kids were allowed.

That inspired them to open the new West Side arcade that will feature more than 30 classic arcade games, pinball, air hockey and "a slew of consoles." The post indicated there will also be custom games made for High Score Player Two.
The venue promises a true 80s arcade atmosphere with neon carpet and all the classic gaming sounds so that the kids of today can experience old-school gaming.
The social media post also indicated the business will be restoring old pinball and arcade machines for customers as well as buying and selling arcade and pinball machines. They encourage anyone who has old games lying around the garage or basement to contact them about restoring the machines to working condition.
