Women's Golf Hits the Course for the Final Time this Fall - Morehead State University Athletics - MSU Eagles

MOREHEAD, Ky. –

Hitting the course for the final time this fall, Morehead State women's golf will participate in the first ever Olde Stone Intercollegiate dual hosted by Western Kentucky University and Louisville.

At their last outing, Morehead State placed 9th in a field of 13 teams, carding a 307-294-304 – 905. Sophomore Olivia Hensley led the Eagles notching her third consecutive top-20 finish with an even paced 73-74-72 – 219.

Close behind Hensley was fellow sophomore MacKenzie Neal, who placed in the top-30 thanks to her 79-69-75 – 333. Neal's score of two under par in the second round was the lowest individual score for Morehead State on their best day of the three day tournament.

In addition to Hensley and Neal, head coach Stephanie Barker's lineup includes Bridget Connolly, Hanna Montgomery, and Hailey Rietz.

The tournament host 14 teams, including Marshall, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma. "Quite a few nationally ranked teams this week, so we are looking forward to competing against such a strong field," head coach Stephanie Barker added.

The two-day, 54-hole tournament tees off Monday from The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Ky., before concluding Tuesday. The event will tee off with a shotgun start at 9:45 a.m. ET.
