HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Rustic Grill at StoneWater has scheduled a five-course Italian wine dinner from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5.
Cory Deibel from Vintage Wine Distributor and chefs from StoneWater are teaming up on the dinner, which will pair dishes with assorted wines from three vintages.
Menu
Aperitivo: Trio - smoked trout and white asparagus, chickpea and lobster salad, burrata and white truffle oil. Wine: 2018 Vie di Romans, Friuli Isonzo Chardonnay.
Antipasti: Grilled prawns - squid ink risotto, herb-infused heirloom tomatoes. Wine: 2015 Castiglion del Bosco, Brunello di Montalcino.
Primi: Deconstructed lasagna - braised duck ragu, fennel béchamel, spinach. Wine: 2016 Acinum Amarone della Valpolicella.
Secondi: Porchetta – blue-cheese polenta, broccoli rabe, natural jus. Wine: 2015 Damilano Cannubi Barolo.
Dolce: Pineapple maccheroni - fregola cream, raspberry coulis, lemon cake. Wine: 2015 Fattoria del Cerro, Vin Santo di Montepulciano.
