No. 4 Alabama is looking for its 15th straight victory over Tennessee on Saturday night as the Crimson Tide try to keep bouncing back from an upset loss against Texas A&M on Oct. 23. However, through the first quarter, the Tide are in a battle against their unranked SEC foe, trailing 14-7 due to some uncharacteristic mistakes.
Alabama struck first with a 12-play, 85-yard drive, but the Volunteers responded with scores on their next two possessions after going three-and-out on their first series of the game. The second touchdown came courtesy of a roughing the kicker penalty against Alabama's Chris Braswell on a Tennessee punt. The penalty allowed the Vols to retain possession, and quarterback Hendon Hooker found wide receiver JaVonta Payton for a 57-yard touchdown strike two plays later. Still, Alabama is off to a strong start offensively with QB Bryce Young already over 100 yards passing.
