General Old Golf Course, part of Riverside National Cemetery, is one of the Inland area’s oldest fairways and largest practice areas. Popular with military retirees since opening in 1955, the narrower than average course once hosted celebrity tournaments by Bob Hope. It has been available for public use since 1998. High school and college golf teams often use the facility, which boasts affordable rates, a full-service pro shop, The Grill eatery (featuring hot dogs, hamburgers, cold sandwiches and more), a driving range, two putting greens and a chipping green with bunker. PGA head golf professional Kiki Garcia provides golf lessons.
