Woman launched fore-tee ft onto golf course after fog blocks stop sign - KMPH Fox 26

A woman wound up on the 8th hole of a golf course after the dense fog blocked her vision of a stop sign Tuesday morning in Fresno County.

According to CHP Fresno, the woman was driving on Sky Harbor Road and approaching Millerton Road, near the Eagle Mountain Golf and Country Club in Friant.

The dense fog in the area made it hard for the woman to see the oncoming road and stop sign.

Authorities say due to her speed, she blew through the stop sign and was launched 40 feet onto the golf course.

Nobody else was on the road at the time, and the woman had minor injuries.

Daily Reminder: Please reduce your speed during fog conditions if you must drive. Buckle-Up, roll windows down to listen for approaching traffic and turn on low-beam headlights.

The golf course is going to need a very large divot tool for this one.
