Police identify body found on Knox County golf course - WVLT

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knox County Sheriff’s Office has identified the body that was found in a pond on a Knox County golf course on Tuesday.

The body has been identified as 65-year-old Albert Rogers, Jr., of Knoxville, according to KCSO Communications Director Kimberly Glenn.

Authorities were alerted of the body Tuesday morning at around 9 a.m., officials said.

Once deputies arrived on the scene at Willow Creek Golf Course, Glenn said, they found a dead man in the water. KCSO’s Major Crimes Detectives, Forensics and the medical examiner responded to the scene.

Officials said that although the investigation is still open, foul play is not suspected.
