[Updating] The Bermuda Pride Parade event is being held today [Aug 27] in the City of Hamilton under a theme of “Love & Live”, and we will be bringing you some updates of the event throughout the day, with the main coverage [photos & videos] to be posted later today.

The Pride website said, “The Parade is the marquee event in the Bermuda Pride 2022 lineup. Starting from outside Victoria Park, we will march through the streets of Hamilton and return to the park for an afternoon of games, entertainment, food and fun. The Parade is a physical and symbolic gesture – recognizing why visibility is so important for our LGBTQ+ community. Visibility is crucial to battling shame and social stigmas and the Parade creates a mobile ‘safe space’ for our communities and allies to demonstrate our desire for equality. Studies show that attending public LGBTQ+ events empowers our community and these events help change hearts and minds when it comes to LGBTQ+ issues.”
