The body, which washed ashore on 100 Steps Beach in Bermuda on Sunday, has been identified as 63-year-old Malcolm Stovell Jr.
The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) released Stovell’s identity today after it was confirmed by his next of kin.
Stovell’s death is being investigated as a suspected drowning since he was seen swimming in the ocean shortly before his body washed ashore.
The BPS is appealing for anyone, who may have been in the vicinity of “100 Steps Beach” around 6 pm on August 28th, to call 211 or e-mail 211@bps.bm as soon as possible.
