MOREHEAD, Ky. --

Coming off a team victory at the Battle at Boone's Trace, Morehead State women's golf returns to stroke play, taking aim at the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Pawley's Island, S.C.

In the team's last stroke play event, Morehead State had the top four finishers among the team lineups, including Olivia Hensley and MacKenzie Neal. The Eagles shot a 303-300 – 603 surpassing the Bellarmine Knights by 30 strokes.

In her first win of her Eagle career, senior Bridget Connolly claimed victory by firing a 72-76 – 148 to top teammate Hailey Rietz who shot a 75-74 – 149. Connolly's performance at the Battle at Boone's Trace resulted in her being awarded the first OVC Golfer of the Week title for the 2021-22 season.

The three-day event tees off Sunday beginning at 12:40 pm ET from Caledonia Golf & Fish Club before concluding Tuesday. The Eagle women are set to take the course at 1:30 pm ET.
