Following a three-month break from PGA Tour golf, expectations for the first tournament back -- the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club -- were extremely high. Somehow, even those astronomical hopes have been surpassed going into the final round on Sunday. Xander Schauffele (-13) leads after 54 holes and will try and close out the fifth PGA Tour win of his career. Given the field just behind him, it may be the most impressive.
Jordan Spieth (-12), Justin Thomas (-12), Gary Woodland (-12), Collin Morikawa (-12), Patrick Reed (-10), Rory McIlroy (-10) and Bryson DeChambeau (-10) are among the chasers in what should be an incredibly compelling Sunday afternoon. Spieth is maybe the most intriguing of the lingering storylines. He's struggled for much of the last three years but is a past champion here and has had a very Spieth-ian week thus far. He'll try and join Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus and Thomas as the only golfers in the last 60 years to win 12 or more times before turning 27.
