Liverpool may just be under 24 hours from winning its first Premier League title in 30 years after the Reds crushed Crystal Palace 4-0 on Wednesday at Anfield. Liverpool took the lead 23 minutes in on a ridiculous free-kick goal from Trent Alexander-Arnold and didn't look back. With this result, Jurgen Klopp's team will officially clinch the league title on Thursday if Manchester City fails to beat Chelsea.
Alexander-Arnold curled home a signature free kick in the first half with this sublime effort from well outside the box:
While the lead wasn't overly comfortable just yet, Liverpool then double the lead just before the break when Fabinho sent Mohamed Salah through on goal with a great ball:
The match then got out of hand as Liverpool continued to dominate possession. Fabinho, almost 15 minutes after his fine assist, scored arguably the goal of the game with this hit from about 30 yards.
Sadio Mane added the Reds' fourth, and Liverpool won for just the second time out of the last six matches.
Now the club moves on to face Manchester City next Thursday. If City beats Chelsea this Thursday, then the Reds would need only a draw in that game to clinch the crown.
