The Brooklyn Nets are the superior team in this series and have looked like it after two wins over the Boston Celtics at Barclays Center. Now, the series shifts to TD Garden for Games 3 and 4 and the Celtics have to hope to steal a win on Friday night if they have any hope of making this a competitive series. After getting off to a slow start, the Celtics rebounded in a major way as they enter the fourth quarter at TD Garden with a double-digit lead over the Nets.
With Jaylen Brown sidelined with an injury, the Nets have really been able to lock in on Tatum on the defensive end and have succeeded in making things extremely difficult on the Celtics star when Boston has the basketball. Through two games, Tatum is averaging 15.5 points while shooting just 28.1 percent from the floor. If Boston has any chance in Game 3, Tatum will need to have a much better showing. On the other end of the spectrum, it's hard to think the Nets could have asked for any more out of Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving through two games. They'll need to be just as effective on Friday night in order to take a 3-0 lead in this best-of-seven series.
