MONTGOMERY, Texas – After over a month without playing, the Southeastern Louisiana golf team returns to action Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. in the first round of the Bearkat Invitational at Walden on the Lake Golf Course (Par 72-6,756 yards)
Kris Kerr, Logan Kuehn, William Meyers, Cameron Mobley and Zack Barrios will represent the Lions as they look to continue their good start to the spring.
SLU took home a share of the Gulf Coast Intercollegiate Championship March 2 and finished fifth at the Colin Montgomerie Invitational back on March 9.
Kuehn, a senior, leads SLU with a 72.57 stroke average through seven rounds. The Lake Charles, Louisiana native has shot six of seven rounds of 75 or lower including 69 in the opening round of the Colin Montgomerie Invite.
Mobley, the Lions' newcomer, has two top 12 finishes to his credit. The sophomore finished runner up at the Gulf Coast Invite and 12th at the Colin Montgomerie Invite.
Meyers, a senior, leads the team with 23 birdies in seven rounds. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native finished ninth at the Gulf Coast Intercollegiate.
Kerr returns to the course for the Lions after missing the last two tournaments with an injury. The senior finished the season last year with a 74.22 stroke average.
Barrios took home a ninth place finish in the season opener at the LaTour Intecollegiate.
The group will play 36 holes Monday with the final 18 holes Tuesday morning.
