The Portland Timbers take on Liga MX side Club América as these teams get underway in the first match of a two-leg contest in the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Champions League kicking off this evening in Portland. This match kicks off live from Providence Park on Wednesday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. PT/10:30 p.m. ET with a live broadcast on FS1 and TUDN.

The Timbers come into this contest after dispatching Honduran side C.D. Marathon in the Round of 16 with a 5-goal thrashing of their opponent in Leg 2 after setting for a 2-2 draw in the teams’ first contest. But depth could be a factor for Portland against América tonight, as the Timbers are in a stretch of five matches in 16 days that started with Saturday’s 2-1 win against Houston. Portland will also be without regular goalkeeper Steve Clark and forward Jeremy Ebobisse due to injuries. Sebastian Blanco is listed as questionable after an injury setback, but is not considered likely to play.
