The board of directors for Marketplace for Kids has completed a continuing education course for professional development. The 1 credit course is offered by Marketplace for Kids and is available through North Dakota State University, the University of North Dakota, Mayville State University and Valley City State University class registration processes.
The program will reimburse teachers who apply for professional development credits and complete the required curriculum. Kim Murphy, Williston, has been hired as the instructor of record for the program. Marketplace for Kids will reimburse up to $50 upon completion of the course. Marketplace for Kids has also created a virtual education day option which may also be used as part of the requirements. The project students will need to complete a project along with a 2-3 minue video answering a few questions. The videos will be sent in and made available for other students to view as well as reviewed by the teachers applying for the credits.
