New M State students have an opportunity to jump start their education with a free, one-credit online Student Success course that will be offered during three sessions in July.
The sessions begin July 7, 14 and 21, and each runs for three weeks. In addition to earning a free credit, students will have the opportunity to try online learning, connect with faculty and fellow students, and learn about the resources that are available to all M State students.
Students will meet virtually in groups of up to 30 for each of the sessions, which will include:
- Resources and academic support that are available at M State
- How to use our D2L online class platform
- Basic technology at the college
- Balancing your class responsibilities with everything else happening in your life
“Our faculty developed a course based on what our students told us they wished they knew before they started college,” said Associate Dean Anne Thurmer. “M State is offering the class at no cost because we want students to find their personal success story.”
