Real Madrid kept pace with Barcelona near the top of La Liga on Sunday with a convincing 3-1 win over Eibar in Los Blancos' first game back after La Liga's coronavirus shutdown. Los Blancos weren't particularly overwhelming in attack when it came to chances, creating only five shots, but all of them went on goal and three of them went in. Real jumped out to a 3-0 lead 37 minutes in before the club took its foot off the gas at Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano.
Real was playing at the stadium of its reserve team due to ongoing renovations at the Santiago Bernabeu. After Barcelona's 4-0 win over Mallorca on Saturday, Real needed points to avoid falling too far back in the title race. Real, with 59 points, is two points behind Barcelona with both teams having played 28 games this season.
The winning goal came just three minutes in when Toni Kroos finished a shot from the corner of the box that went over the goalkeeper's head. Take a look:

The win was a critical one for Real ahead of what is going to be a busy week. Los Blancos face a big test on Thursday against Valencia before going to surprising Real Sociedad on Sunday.
Hazard was the big story in this one after he recovered from yet another injury. He had a fibula fracture in February and was expected to miss three months, but the shutdown gave him time to heal. Hazard's assist to Ramos was an unselfish play as he had a golden look at goal but gave it up for a sure score with Ramos wide open in front of the open net.
