Antigua & Barbuda 0 Bermuda 5
Bermuda women’s “B” team thrashed Antigua & Barbuda in the Concacaf Women Championship in Kingston, Jamaica, last night.
Coach Naquita Robinson dropped several key players after her team’s disappointing 2-0 defeat to Cuba on Wednesday and switched from a 4-3-3 formation to a 3-5-2.
Bermuda’s scorers were Akeyla Furbert, Nia Christopher, second-half substitutes Deshae Darrell and Teyah Lindo.
Robinson’s side had to beat Antigua to stand a chance of finishing in the top three.
They face Trinidad & Tobago in their final game tomorrow at 5pm. Trinidad, third in the table, have six points and a plus-three difference than Bermuda, who have three points and a minus-one goal difference.
