Cruise giant Carnival doubles down on sailings to Bermuda - The Points Guy

Cruise giant Carnival is significantly expanding its presence in the Bermuda cruise market.

The world's second largest cruise line on Tuesday announced plans for more Bermuda cruises in 2025 than it has ever offered in a single year — 22 sailings in all.

That's up from 14 sailings to Bermuda scheduled for 2024 and more than double the number of Bermuda sailings the line regularly offered just a few years ago.

The Bermuda sailings will take place on a trio of Carnival ships based in three of Carnival's East Coast hubs: New York City; Norfolk, Virginia; and Baltimore, Maryland.

Eight of the 22 sailings will be operated by Carnival Venezia, a new, 4,090-passenger Carnival vessel that the line has based year-round in New York. It's a newer and larger ship than Carnival has stationed in the city in the past, and it's offering a wide range of itineraries to not just Bermuda but also the Bahamas, the Caribbean, New England and Canada.

Carnival on Tuesday also announced that Carnival Venezia would offer a range of new eight-, nine- and 10-day Eastern Caribbean itineraries out of New York in 2025, with stops in San Juan, Puerto Rico; Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; St. Maarten; Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas and the new Celebration Key private beach getaway the line is developing in the Bahamas.
