After a dearth of in-person classes due to the ongoing pandemic, a hunters’ education course is being offered at Oasis Outback, 2900 E. Main St., on Aug. 14.
Led by volunteer instructors Susan and David Rios, who were honored as the 2018 Hunter Education Team of the Year by the Texas Hunter Education Instructors Association, the class will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fee for certification is $15, and pre-registration is required.
Texas Parks and Wildlife biologist David Rios and his wife Susan, Uvalde Main Street program manager, have certified hundreds of hunters in more than 20 years of service.
