The Chicago Bulls are kind of on a bit of a roll, but is it too little too late?
With their 114-102 win against an excessively short-handed Toronto Raptors squad tonight, your Chicago Bulls have now won four of their last five games. Unsurprisingly, this little hot streak coincides directly with their star guard Zach LaVine returning to the lineup after an extended stay in health protocols.
In the scoring department, LaVine led the way again for the Bulls. He scored 24 points on a solid 8-for-15 from the field. Six Bulls players cracked double digits in scoring and Chicago had 31 assists as a team.
Young guard Coby White, who has been playing better as of late, had a 17 point and 10 assist double-double effort tonight. He also dunked like we’ve never seen him dunk before. Our guy Stacey King also had a great call on the play.
I was watching the Raptors broadcast tonight and because there isn’t much to talk about in regards to the actual team their television crew was going off on a lot of tangents. At one point, their color commentator pointed out that he thinks the Bulls are talented but that they don’t have enough winners on their team and that is why they are still bad. Jealous talk from a broadcaster whose team he’s supposed to talk about sucks or a legitimate point?
This really was a game that the Bulls had absolutely no business losing. The Raptors injury report was longer than the 3-pointers Denzel Valentine attempts when he does a heat check. Most of the guys that did play you had to rack your brain to remember their first names or any relevant information about them really.
The Bulls are two games down on the Wizards for tenth seed in the Eastern Conference with two games to play. Those games are against the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks.
Better hope those two teams are resting guys for the playoffs.....The Bulls have to win out and the Washington Wizards have to lose out.
