SCORE Kansas City and the U.S. Small Business Administration Honor Black History Month - WFMZ Allentown

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Feb. 9, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SCORE Kansas City and the U.S. Small Business Administration will present Celebrating Black Business Ownership - Making Your Dream a Reality, a virtual event on February 16, 17 and 18, from noon – 2 pm each day.

Entrepreneurs and experts from the Kansas City region will share resources and experiences to address the key issues challenging Black entrepreneurs.

SCORE Kansas City is working with community businesses in the SCORE Community Strategic Alliance to support the sustainable growth and expansion of Black entrepreneurs and businesses through mentorship, training, and engagement with financial support.

The three-day event brings to life the critical junctures in small business: starting, growing, and financing a business. Keynote speakers include Kira Cheree' Hopkins of Entrepreneur Business Basics, Leonard Graham of Taliaferro and Browne, and Davyeon Ross of ShotTracker, plus additional speakers and panelists, who will share their challenges and how they addressed obstacles in their business journey.

The Celebrating Black Business Ownership event is offered free of charge, register today.

During this time of health and economic crisis, all SCORE workshops are offered free of charge via Zoom. Registration for upcoming workshops is available on line.
