The Bengals ran roughshod over the Steelers in the first half and are 30 minutes away from their third consecutive win over Pittsburgh. Cincinnati took a 31-3 lead into intermission on the strength of an unstoppable offensive attack and an equally dominant defensive effort.
Cincinnati didn't waste any time, as Joe Burrow capped off the Bengals' first drive with an eight-yard touchdown run. After both teams traded field goals, Burrow hit Tee Higgins for a 32-yard score at the start of the second quarter. Cincinnati's next drive ended with a one-yard touchdown run by Joe Mixon. The teams then traded interceptions, but the Bengals' pick was returned 24 yards for a score by former Pittsburgh cornerback Mike Hilton.
Burrow went 14 of 16 for 154 yards in the fist half. Mixon rumbled for 117 yards on 20 carries, as the Bengals out-rushed the Steelers in the first half, 125-21. Cincinnati is on pace to record their largest-ever margin of victory over Pittsburgh; the Bengals defeated the Steelers 41-10 in Week 2 of the 1989 season.
