Alabama vs. Auburn live score, updates, highlights from 2021 Iron Bowl rivalry game - Sporting News

There's a chance chaos will unfold when No. 3 Alabama enters rival territory to face Auburn in the annual Iron Bowl rivalry game.

The Crimson Tide (10-1, 6-1 SEC) are coming off a 42-35 escape against Arkansas last week. They will be looking for a win over the Tigers (6-5, 3-4 SEC) to boost their College Football Playoff hopes. They've won nine of the last 13 matchups in the series, including last year's 42-13 victory in Tuscaloosa. However, Alabama has lost three of the last four meetings in Auburn's Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Alabama's offense will be led by Heisman Trophy contender Bryce Young. The quarterback ranks seventh in the FBS with 3,584 passing yards. His main passing target figures to be wide receiver Jameson Williams, who leads the Crimson Tide with 1,218 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. Running back Brian Robinson Jr. will look to dominate on the ground. He leads the team with 945 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns.

Robinson will be challenged by a Tigers run defense that allows 177.2 rushing yards per game. Young can expect to face pressure from Eku Leota and Derick Hall, who lead Auburn with six sacks each.

Auburn will turn to quarterback T.J. Finley as it tries to end a three-game losing streak. Finley will make his second start in place of Bo Nix, who is out for the season with an ankle injury. His top passing target will be wide receiver Shedrick Jackson, who leads the Tigers with 495 receiving yards. Running back Tank Bigsby will look to challenge the Crimson Tide defense on the ground. He leads Auburn with 940 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns.

Bigsby will be tested by linebacker Henry To'oTo'o, who has 84 tackles, four sacks and a forced fumble this season. Linebacker Will Anderson Jr. will bring the pressure against Finley; he leads the Crimson Tide with 13.5 sacks.
