The United States men's national team are through to the Concacaf Nations League final after beating Honduras on Thursday 1-0 thanks to a dramatic late goal from substitute Jordan Siebatcheu via header. The D.C.-born talent came on in the second half for Josh Sargent and delivered his first goal for the team with under two minutes to play, heading home a smart ball from Weston McKennie with power from about six yards out.

The goal came after a fine ball from defender John Brooks found McKennie at the back post in what was the best chance of the second half.
The U.S. struggled for much of the match with plenty of nervy moments, but in the end they found a way despite looking likely to concede at times. Sargent, who struggled in attack, made a crucial save with his head off the line to prevent Los Catrachos from scoring in the opening 45.
Honduras had their chances to win it, but Zack Steffen was able to come up big in goal with a couple key saves.
With the match hanging in the balance, it felt as if Gregg Berhalter was pushing his luck by waiting to make changes, but his young forward came on and repaid his faith to avoid a penalty kick shootout where anything could have happened.
With the win, the Americans will now face Mexico in the final on Sunday on Paramount+.
