Coming into the second-round series between the Philadelphia 76ers and Atlanta Hawks, it was difficult to make any concrete predictions because of the questions surrounding Joel Embiid's health. Game 4 on Monday night was a perfect example. The Sixers were in complete control, then Embiid's knee started bothering him and the Hawks made a huge comeback. While Embiid's health ultimately made a difference in Game 4, it had little impact on the result on Wednesday night as Philadelphia enters crunch time with the lead.
Should Embiid struggle as he did in the second half of Game 4, Philadelphia will have its hands full in this one as the All-Star big man is one of the 76ers' most important players on both ends of the floor. While Philadelphia has plenty of other players capable of scoring the basketball on their roster, everything starts with Embiid and he will need to be effective in this one. On the other side, Trae Young must continue to play at an elite level as he has averaged 27.3 points and 11.8 assists per game in this series.
