Having moved to 670 The Score back in 2016 (good timing for The Score, eh?), the Chicago Cubs are re-upping with the station to keep AM 670 their radio home on a “multi-year” deal.
We're thrilled to announce Entercom, #Cubs have reached a multi-year broadcast extension to keep games on 670 The Score.
So more @PatandRon670 coming your way on our airwaves and @Radiodotcom app too! https://t.co/foo6Lt038B pic.twitter.com/3gZ14q4pTB

The deal with Entercom, which owns and operates The Score, will also cover 29 other stations across Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. The Cubs Radio Network stays in place, so if you’ve been getting your broadcasts that way, you shouldn’t see a change.
Radio broadcasts rights deals are obviously far less lucrative for teams than TV broadcast rights, but they are not nothing, and I’d imagine it is comforting for the Cubs to have a new deal done before Spring Training games begin. And fans, obviously, don’t have to worry about any last-minute posturing. (On that front, query whether streamers like Hulu+ Live TV and YouTube TV will add baseball back to their mix in time for the 2021 season?)
