No. 8 Cincinnati leads No. 9 Georgia 14-10 through one half of play in the Peach Bowl in Atlanta. Cincinnati quarterback Desmond Ridder led a brilliant two-minute drive that resulted in an 11-yard touchdown to Josh Whyle with six second left. That touchdown came after Ridder rolled to his right, bought time and threw across the field to a diving Whyle near the front of the end zone. That gave the Bearcats plenty of momentum heading into the locker room.
Motivation doesn't seem to be an issue for either team. Cincinnati doesn't appear intimidated by the big spot at all, and has been winning in the trenches quite a bit. Georgia isn't suffering from the "Power Five sleepwalk" either. Running backs Zamir White and Kendall Milton are running hard, and there doesn't appear to be any lack of motivation on the Bulldogs' sideline despite having several opt outs. Quarterback JT Daniels has hit a couple of deep passes already and has 229 yards passing in the first 30 minutes.
