The Los Angeles Rams picked up a huge divisional win on Sunday, beating the Seattle Seahawks 23-16 from their home SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
The Rams were able to dominate Seattle’s offense, holding the Seahawks to just one touchdown, and keeping Russell Wilson out of the end zone. Los Angeles held Wilson to a highly inefficient game, and intercepted him twice while sacking him six times.
It was a two possession game for the bulk of the second half, before the Seahawks made a field goal with 25 seconds left. The Rams recovered the onside kick, and that was the game.
Jared Goff surprisingly and emphatically won the quarterback matchup, completing 27-of-37 passes for 302 yards, with no interceptions. The Rams had three touchdowns, all on the ground (two by Malcolm Brown and one by Darrell Henderson Jr.
With the win the Rams improved to 6-3, and knocked the Seahawks to the same record. Due to the tiebreaker of having just beaten Seattle, LA is now in first place atop the NFC West.
LA takes on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football next week on Nov. 24.
