No. 1 Alabama is hosting No. 22 Auburn in the 85th Iron Bowl at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the SEC on CBS Game of the Week. The Crimson Tide and Tigers have split their last four meetings in this series, though Bama has a 141-107 advantage on the scoreboard since 2016.
Alabama enters Saturday's tilt with one of the most potent offenses in the country led by Heisman Trophy contender Mac Jones at quarterback and running back Najee Harris, though a curveball was thrown on Wednesday when news broke that coach Nick Saban will not be on the sideline after testing positive for COVID-19. Offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian serves as the interim head coach in his absence. Auburn, led by coach Gus Malzahn, have not won in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, since 2010. QB Bo Nix and wide receiver Seth Williams are the centerpieces of an offense that has incorporated more zone read and slant concepts throughout the course of the season
