It’s 10am on an autumn day in Bermuda, and our boat captain Spencer Wood is trying to remember why on earth he left his home on the islands in 2008. At the time he was playing drums in a reggae band called HomeGrown. “We were on the road for five years on and off, and of course it was fun,” he recalls. “One time we even made it to England. But in the end I had to come back. I missed the ocean too much.”
