Smith promoted at IBC Bermuda - Royal Gazette

IBC Bermuda Ltd has promoted Kevin Smith to managing director.

Mr Smith joined IBC 20 years ago, as manager of IBC/ZipX UPS at LF Wade International Airport. He went on to become vice-president of airport operations in 2005 working with operating staff, Customs and physical importation and exportation. In 2016, Mr Smith was promoted to vice-president, operations, managing all IBC operating staff and local courier and messenger departments.

Mr Smith said: “I am delighted and grateful for this new role as managing director of IBC Bermuda Ltd. These are exciting times. More people are shopping online than ever before.

“In 2019 we will continue to innovate and provide Bermuda with the best air express experience possible.”

Joe Costigan, CEO of IBC USA, said “Kevin’s dedication to the company, his fellow co-workers, customers and Bermuda is unwavering. We look forward to seeing Kevin’s success at IBC continue in his new role as managing director.”

Glen Smith, chairman and founder of IBC/ZipX, added: “Kevin has gone from strength to strength at IBC and I have every confidence that he will use his many years of experience and deep understanding of the business to continue to improve it from all angles for the benefit of both our customers and the team.”
