The Lone Tree Golf Course has began converting 14-greens at the Lone Tree Golf Course to Champion Bermuda. That means through July 15, 14-holes will be using temporary greens.
This is the last weekend before the greens are removed according to General Manager Ron Parish.
“We are excited what Championship Bermuda will do to the greens and its going to make the course more viable,” said Parish at the May 11 City Council meeting. “We take seriously our footprint on the use of the golf course and the water in putting in these champion Bermuda which will help us use the water more effectively and less water. It’s a grass that helps out with salt content. It also thrives in summer heat. Its an exciting time for the golf course and leading the way.”
Between June 4 through July 15 (estimated timeline), here is the following fees:
Public:
- $20 Open until 3 PM includes cart,
- $15 after 3 PM includes cart,
- $10 after 5 PM includes cart.
Members (Golfers Advantage & Golfers Advantage Plus):
- $15 Open until 3 PM includes cart
- $10 after 3 PM includes cart,
- $5 after 5 PM includes cart.
Notes:
- Monday, 7/16 is Lone Tree Golf Course “estimated” date for opening on the newly “sprigged” Champion Bermuda greens. Opening date is greatly weather dependent during the grow-in and could occur earlier than 7/16, and if so, green fee pricing will return to original/standard rates at the time the new greens are opened. If open date extends beyond 7/16, then above “Champion Bermuda” pricing will apply until new greens opened.
