Offshore law firm Carey Olsen Bermuda has appointed Mary Ward as a partner in its corporate practice.
Ms Ward will join Carey Olsen Bermuda after 15 years at Conyers Dill & Pearman. Prior to her arrival in Bermuda, Ms Ward worked for international law firms Linklaters in New York and Slaughter and May in London. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1994 and the Bermuda Bar in 2004.
Ms Ward advises on all aspects of commercial and corporate law, with extensive experience in securities law, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring of private and public companies and private equity.
Her practice also encompasses advising on insurance matters, including incorporation of commercial insurers and equity and debt financings of insurers and insurance groups, as well as private placements, listed debt offerings and IPOs.
She is recognised as an expert in her field by both Chambers and Legal 500 with market sources recognising her considerable experience in securities and insurance work.

Ms Ward will begin her new position in June 2018 after fulfilling her contractual obligations at Conyers Dill & Pearman.
Carey Olsen Bermuda, which opened in November 2017, was established by Mr Hanson in association with leading international offshore firm Carey Olsen.
