The Bermuda women’s hockey team made a superb start to their Central American and Caribbean Games qualifiers after defeating Jamaica 2-1 at the National Sports Centre last night.
Bermuda came from behind to score twice in the fourth quarter thanks to goals from Georgia Harris and Maya Palacio after Shareeka Elliot gave Jamaica the lead.
Coach Kovin Moodley’s side face Guyana in their second qualifier tomorrow [April 16] at 4pm.
Meanwhile, the Bermuda men’s team followed up their 0-0 draw against Puerto Rico on Thursday with a 4-1 defeat against Jamaica yesterday.
Donovan Simmons scored the consolation goal for Bermuda who return to action against Jamaica today at 6pm.
