It looks like the first meeting between Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will have to wait. The 7-1 Packers visit the 4-4 Chiefs on Sunday for a Super Bowl I rematch, but Rodgers will miss the game due to a positive COVID-19 test on Wednesday.
Since Rodgers will miss Sunday's game, the odds moved significantly in the Chiefs' favor for the victory. Kansas City is coming off a slim win from last week, when they beat the Giants 20-17 on Monday night. The Chiefs are not the same team we've become accustomed to seeing during their deep playoff runs the last three years as they struggle to stay in the playoff picture. Mahomes, for instance, leads the NFL with 10 interceptions thrown so far.
PACKERS VS. CHIEFS ODDS: How Aaron Rodgers' positive COVID test altered lines
The Chiefs defense has allowed the fourth most passing yards so far this season with 2,158. They have also given up 220 points total to their opponents, while the Packers defense have only given up 167 points.
The Packers' backup quarterback for Sunday is Jordan Love, who will make his first NFL start. He's only appeared in one game so far this season, the Packers' 38-3 loss to the Saints in Week 1, which happens to be the Packers' only loss this season. He threw for 68 yards that game with zero touchdowns in relief of Rodgers.

In #GBvsKC, the ruling on the field was a touchback. After review, it was determined that the ball hit the foot of GB 86, making the kicking team eligible to recover the kick. Therefore, it is KC ball at the spot of the recovery. pic.twitter.com/omUo1CjbNa

5:27 p.m. — In the punt return, the ball was said to be not touched by Malik Taylor, which gave the Chiefs a touchback after picking up the ball and running into the endzone. The play was challenged.
The one thing it isn't is a touchback. Should be reversed to a live ball with a clear recovery by the #Chiefs. If it wasn't, the Chiefs touched it first, picked it up and started running for the end zone.

5:24 p.m. — Prior to the third down play, Oren Burks on the Packers was called for offsides. Mahomes' throw had been picked off, but the interception was overturned due to the flag.
Patrick Mahomes gets the #Packers to jump across and earned a free play. ended with an interception by Adrian Amos that doesn't count. Next play, Derrick Gore is stopped on 3rd and 1.#GoPackGo
