It's gut-check time for the Michigan Wolverines, who return home Saturday night to face No. 13 Wisconsin riding a two-game losing streak. Michigan started its season with an impressive win over Minnesota -- at least it seemed impressive at the time. It followed with losses to Michigan State and Indiana, while Minnesota sits at 1-3 following a loss to Iowa on Friday. So, as the Wolverines enters Saturday's game against the Badgers, they have their backs against the wall.
And then there's Wisconsin! It's been a while since we've seen the Badgers. They played in the first Big Ten game of the 2020 season, dominating Illinois and showing off an impressive new passing attack with quarterback Graham Mertz, only for Mertz to test positive for COVID-19 amidst a program-wide outbreak that led to a pair of game cancellations. Wisconsin is back in action for the first time in three weeks eyeing a return to the Big Ten Championship Game.
