Georgia running back Zamir White took the opening play 75 yards for a touchdown to give the Bulldogs early momentum. They forced a three-and-out, and quarterback Stetson Bennett IV hit Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint for a 32-yard touchdown over the middle; unfortunately, both players were injured on the play, though Bennett returned at the end of the quarter. D'Wan Mathis -- the starter in the opener vs. Arkansas -- replaced Bennett on Georgia's last drive of the first quarter.
Florida stormed right back with a seven-play drive capped off by a 14-yard touchdown from QB Kyle Trask to Justin Shorter, and then Dameon Pierce capped off an 11-play drive with a 2-yard plunge with 1:43 to play to tie it up at 14. It was only Florida's fourth rushing touchdown of the season.
