Classical Studies is an interdisciplinary program in the Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures that offers a major, minor, and departmental honors. Students can take courses in a wide range of topics focused on the Ancient Mediterraenan World, including Latin and Ancient Greek languages and literatures; art, architecture, and archaeology; urbanism; social, cultural, political, and legal history; historiography; religion and myth; Classical reception; gender studies; and philosophy.

Classics leads regular study abroad programs, Classics in Greece and Classics in Italy (currently on hold due to COVID-19). Undergraduate research opportunities are also available on the Virtual Pompeii and Virtual Roman Retail projects and the Marzuolo Archaeological Project.
