Aon, a global professional services firm, has named Roman Romeo as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Reinsurance Solutions Bermuda unit, effective April 1, 2024.
The company has also confirmed that Tony Fox, CEO and Chairman of Reinsurance Solutions Bermuda, will remain serving as Chairman.
In his new role, Romeo will be based in Bermuda, where he will report to Tony Fox.
In the role, Romeo is expected to lead Aon’s Bermuda reinsurance operations. He will also play a vital role in creating a collaborative environment that draws on the expertise of the firm’s global network.
Romeo joined the company in 2022 and brings more than 23 years of industry expertise towards his new role.
He previously spent six years at re/insurer Axis Capital, where he held the role of President, Head of Property of Axis Specialty Limited.
In addition, he also spent eight years working at reinsurer PartnerRe, serving as Senior Underwriter, Property Catastrophe.
