The Center for Peacemaking will award one grant to a full-time Marquette faculty member to develop a new course or significantly revise an existing course that explores and integrates issues of peacemaking and nonviolence. Proposals addressing human rights, community organizing and other tools for promoting social and political justice are especially welcome.
The value of the Peace Studies Course Development Grant is $2,500. Complete the online form by Wednesday, June 1.
Please note that the application contains a few questions about the course and requires submission of the following items:
• Letter of support from department chair that includes a commitment to offer the course annually
• Draft syllabus (A single section of a multi-section course is not eligible)
• Updated curriculum vitae
For more information, visit the Center for Peacemaking website or contact T. Michael McNulty, S.J., scholar in residence in the Center for Peacemaking, or Dr. Louise Cainkar, professor of social and cultural sciences in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences.
