Learning never stops — even well after graduation.
Lifelong learning is proven to benefit adults' overall wellness and aging, and Oklahoma State University’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute offers enriching courses and social opportunities for adults, specifically ages 50 and older, since 2006.
OLLI at OSU is currently seeking instructors and course proposals for the 2022 Fall Session for all locations in Stillwater, Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Bartlesville. OLLI offers more than 50 courses — in person and online — that encourage adults to explore their interests and take on a challenge. Course submissions can include a variety of topics from literature, art, wellness and even tours and travel.
“Lifelong learning and continuing education keep brains active and are essential to healthy aging,” said OLLI at OSU Director Robbin Davis. “OLLI gives members the opportunity to continue learning about a long-held passion such as history or art and to also learn about new topics such as entomology and drawing. We truly offer something for every level of interest.”
Through academic stimulation and social interaction, adults can find new skills, foster new friendships and curate new passions.
“Our award-winning programming hinges on the course proposals we receive,” Davis said. “Our instructors volunteer their time to enrich the lives of our members. OLLI doesn’t exist without the courses the instructors propose each session and the work of our volunteer curriculum leaders in each city we serve.”
The deadline for course submissions is June 15 for the Fall 2022 session. Contact Davis at robbin.davis@okstate.edu for more information or submit proposals here.
